Richard Harrington - CEO, Buckinghamshire Thames Valley LEP

Chartered Town Planner and Chartered Surveyor specialising in employment and housing growth, regeneration and the advance provision of supporting infrastructure. Over the past ten years, Richard has taken a leading role in establishing and running a number of local delivery companies, they have aligned public and private funding, to accelerate the rate of jobs, housing and infrastructure provision in response to local need and ambition. Richard's specialities include: Creation of public/private delivery mechanisms, Strategic business planning and implementation strategies. Cross organisational collaborative working. Delivery of development projects. Championing Economic Development and Growth delivery.

Philippa Batting - Managing Director, Buckinghamshire Business First

From leaving Ireland at the age 17 to becoming Managing Director of Buckinghamshire Business First (BBF), Philippa has steadily worked towards a role that suits her down to the ground. An accountant by profession, with more than 25 years' experience of working within various accounting environments in both the public and private sector, Philippa became Managing Director of Buckinghamshire Business First in April 2012. She is highly motivated to make the right things happen for customers, staff and stakeholders by listening to them, seeing the whole picture and joining up the dots at strategic and operational levels to achieve results. A great believer in openness, transparency and honesty, with a collaborative style, she has led BBF through a period of radical change in the economic landscape. Philippa's appointment at BBF brought together her passions for business and her love for Buckinghamshire. She has lived, worked and brought up her family in the county, so when she says that Bucks is the place to do business, be assured she practises what she preaches.
